The Minister of Sports and Physical Educa- tion, Professor Mouelle Kombi, spent yesterday (22 January, 2020) visiting the sites that will host the upcoming April CHAN in the South West Region. The sporting infrastructure inspected included the Molyko Stadium which will serve as training ground for those teams and delegations that will lodge in Buea. The Director of the Molyko Stadium, Mbua Njonje, showed round the facility with dressing rooms, offices, security gadgets, sitting space, parking space and the dignitaries’ lodge. The Minister left Buea visibly satisfied that key necessities were in place for the teams to train in utmost comfort. The Minister’s convoy left Buea midday for Limbe where they walked round the Limbe Omnisports Stadium and its Annex. The Director of the facility that will host the games, Mrs Mbua Pascaline, expressed a major worry of water shortage in the Stadium. CAMWATER officials present voiced optimism that the volume of water would be increased incessantly to meet the required standard. Apart from the minor water concern, Minister Kombi finished his rounds of the CHAN infrastructure in the South West apparently proud that CHAN will find a comfortable sojourn in Limbe and Buea.
