Elite One : Canon Yaounde Waxing Strong

Canon Sportif of Yaounde continues with its winning streak this season. The Yaounde-based club recorded their fourth victory after they beat Tonnerre Kalara Club of Yaounde 2-1 in one of the day four matches of the Elite One championship that took place at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium yesterday March 30, 2022. Even though it was the second encounter of the day, thousands of supporters thronged the stadium to watch the two top teams of the capital city play.
It was a grueling encounter that kept spectators on their feet throughout the match shouting and cheering the players. The match began as planned with the two sides determined to win the three points of the day. Canon controlled the game from kick off with a good play style that enabled them open scores at the 20th minute through Jean Hugues Eyango. TKC equally put up a strong fight and drew level at the 40th minute through Ngah Noel Mdeou. The two teams separated at half time on a 1-1 score margin. On resumption Canon continued with their domination but TKC played a more defensive game warding off any attempts by their opponents.
