Gauging Petroleum Products : LightOil Solution Now Available

As the demand for fuel increases, with the economic slowdown, the oil and gas industry is facing financial challenges unlike ever before. These challenges are creating the conditions for large-scale fraud, including the concealing of environmental and safety problems, fraudulent measurements and more. Against this backdrop, a group of young people known as Light Group have come out with an intelligence system to reduce fraud in the sector. The intelligence system known as the LightOil Solution was presented in Douala on Friday, March 31, 2023.
The LightOil solution is an intelligence system for the measurement and processing of data relating to the quality and quantity of petroleum products in storage in and above ground and underground tanks. It is equipped with wireless architecture and modern technologies. It was designed as a self-robust network suitable for explosive environments and easy to install. While presenting the system, the leader of the Light Group, Yves Bertrand Solanga elaborated that the intelligence system reconciles the tank outlet and pump outlet for better operational and commercial efficiency in one click. It permits the carrying of tasks easily with unique visibility into the operations of any site in the system at any given time. He also added that the system provides security for workers and the environment.
