The event is scheduled to run from 21 through 23 June, 2023. Initiated by the host National School of Local Administration (NASLA), the colloquium will pool experts from within and without to reflect on the theme “Crises management within the context of decentralization in Cameroon: Challenges and Prospects for Regional and Local Authorities (RLAs)”.
Ahead of the ground breaking colloquium, NASLA, last week (15 and 16 June, 2023), held two housekeeping Board meetings (the seventh ordinary followed by a fifth extra-ordinary). The former scrutinized and adopted its administrative and management accounts for 2022. Meanwhile, the latter reviewed the NASLA budget for the 2023 financial year, which stands at FCFA 3.895.173.000. From the allocated money, NASLA will spend FCFA 1.100.703.000 on investment and use FCFA 2.794.470.000 for the functioning of the Institution this year.
Both decision making sessions were presided at by NASLA’s Board of Director’s Chair, Mouhtar Ousmane Mey, while Tanyitiku E. Bayee, Director General of NASLA, presented the agenda and recorded the minutes and resolutions of the sitting deputized by Madam Ongolo Nyanguinda Lidwine.
