Volleyball Cup of Cameroon : Cameroon Sports, Litto VB Lift Trophies

Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex was in a festive mood on Friday, June 30, 2023. The event was the finals of the 2023 edition of the volleyball Cup of Cameroon. Organised by the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY), the competition brought together four teams. They are Cameroon Sports Volleyball Club of Yaounde (men) and Litto Volleyball Club of Douala. Less than a week after the finals of the National Volleyball Championship, which saw FAP win both the women and men’s titles, it was yet another tough battle for the Cup of Cameroon. 
In the men’s final Cameroon sports outplayed FAP Yaounde 3-2 sets in a though encounter. It was a remake of the national championship final that took place barely one week ago. Even though many fans expected to see FAP Volleyball Club of Yaounde winning the national championship title and the Cup of Cameroon this season, that was not case this year. Cameroon Sports won the first set with powerful spikes and a well-planned game. FAP Yaounde however was more tactical and won the second and third sets (25-16 and 25-22). Cameroon Sports picked up courage and won the fourth set 25-22. Cameroon Sports carried day after beating FAP Yaounde 16-14 in the tie-break.
