Ngoumba-Fang Holiday Championship : First Edition Launched

Some 12 teams are taking part in the tournament that kicked off in Ebimibang on Sunday July 16, 2023.
The Ebimibang Stadium in the Bipindi Subdivision of the Ocean Division was the venue of the official launch of the first edition of the holiday championship called “Coupe de Football du Groupement Ngoumba-Fang” that took place on Sunday July 16, 2023. The competition which will run till August 19, 2023 brings together 12 teams from the Subdivision. The tournament is taking place under the patronage of the Senior Divisional Officer of the Ocean Division, Nouhou Bello. For one month, the teams will compete in a round robin tournament in stadiums in the different localities.
Speaking at the opening, the Divisional Officer for Bipindi Subdivision, Isidor Tchoffo, congratulated the organisers for their efforts in the realisation of the initiative which had been long awaited by the people of the Ngoumba-Fang clan. He said a competition of this nature will enable the youths to work together, reflect together and also encourage living together. He reminded the youths that the competition is a feast and that there should be no room for excesses. The Chief of the Ngoumba Fang clan, H. E. Mienam, expressed the wish that the championship goes on well for the development of the Subdivision. He used the occasion to designate Jean Nzie Nzie a notable of Ngoumba-Fang.
