Cameroon-CAR : Fraternal Allies

Cameroon and the Central African Republic are two neighbouring countries bordered by land that enjoy positive relations. Both countries are members of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) and the African Union, and thus promote regional integration, stability and inclusive economic growth within member States. The fight against poverty and inequality, encouraging peace, enhancing education and infrastructural growth are other binding principles between the two brotherly nations. Faced with an upsurge in security challenges at the sub regional level, the President of the Republic, Paul Biya and his counterpart of the Central African Republic, Prof.Faustin Archange Touadera, held discussions on various topics, including the situation in Gabon. The Central African Republic leader is a regular face in Cameroon. He was in Cameroon on a working visit on April 29, 2023 and also participated at the 15th Summit of the CEMAC Heads of State which held in Yaounde on March 17, 2023. It was during the Summit that President Paul Biya, handed over relay baton to President Faustin Archange Touadera as President of the CEMAC Conference of Heads of State.
