Empowering Women : Single Mothers Empowered

Young single mothers have been urge to be resilient and attain their dreams. This was during a one day workshop organized by the « Parler D'Elles » association that took place on Saturday 28 October in Douala. The association, under the project "Glowing Mothers", is out to coach and support single mothers to improve on their well-being and strengthen their leadership skills as well as support their entrepreneurship projects.
The project is aimed at lasting for five years and each cohort will have fifteen women each year. During each cohort, the women will be provided technical and financial support for the implementation of projects. They will also receive psychological and social support to improve on their mental health.
According to the Executive Director and founder of « Parler D'Elles », Laetitia Tonye Loe, the project will contribute in strengthening the capacities of beneficiaries so as to change their perspectives on their lives and adopt a new ambitious realistic and achievable life.
