“We Are On The Right Trajectory”

Nigeria is through to the semifinals. What has been pushing this team to success this far?
I am very happy because we are on the right trajectory. Like we said from the start, we always believed we could go all the way but we also knew it was going to be very difficult. The team is showing a lot of maturity game by game. The team is equally showing great fighting spirit. We are defending, attacking and creating a lot of chances like a very good team. Everything is heading to the right direction but we do not want to forget why we got here and why we are doing so well. One thing I am most proud of now is the fighting spirit and the togetherness of the team. 

Nigeria has become one of the top favourites in the competition. Do you believe you could take home the trophy?
We believed in it from the start.  And I think some fans are starting to believe in it too; which is nice. We have to keep working hard. We have to keep doing what we are doing now.  But it is not going to be easy. We have to win the semifinals first to qualify for the final. In 2019, we qualified for the semifinals...
