The 33-year-old champion paid a visit to the sports equipment stores, Edimo Sports Wear, in Yaounde where he signed a partnership on Friday March 29, 2024.
Cameroonian-born boxer, Kevin Sadjio Lele is in Cameroon. The 33-year-old intercontinental WBA and WBO champion paid a visit to the sports equipment stores, Edimo Sports Wear, in down-town Yaounde where he signed a partnership agreement with the stores. The visit was in line with the national tour of the boxing champion of Cameroonian origin who fights for France. He said he came to Cameroon to first of all thank all the Cameroonian people who supported him enormously for his last fight and who continue to support him for certain events. A former footballer, Kevin Lele, nicknamed 'The Punisher', is one of today's top boxers of Cameroonian origin. The 33-year-old super-middleweight and middleweight champion now has 22 wins to his name, 20 by KO. Next June, 'The Punisher', as he is known, will be back in the ring for a world semi-final bout organised by the WBC federation, where he is also ranked 4th in the world. The 33-year-old former footballer, who lives in France, has been practicing the noble art for a decade.
What is the purpose of your visit in Cameroon?
I was born in Cameroon and I left the country at the age of ten. Today, I am a professional boxer with a record of 22 victories and 20 by knockout. I am presently the champion of Europe and intercontinental champion in WBA and WBO. Actually I have a proposal for the world semi-final that I intend to take part in June in France in the WBC Federation where I am fourth in the world. I have come to Cameroon to thank the Cameroonian people for the support they gave me in my last fight and their continuous support after the event that took place in France. At the same time I have come to thank Edimo for all the support they have given me in the sporting and other areas. I am happy to present my trophies and my gratitude to them.
Cameroonians are excelling in combat sports. What do you think can be done to help improve the performance of Cameroonian youths who are interested in this sports discipline?
