Women’s Basketball Championship : FAP Emerges Champions

Power has finally changed hands as to what concerns the women’s national basketball championship. FAP Basketball Club of Yaounde have taken over from Overdose Up Station that have been dominating the elite league for a while now. FAP Basketball emerged champions of Cameroon after dominating the away and return legs of the Final Four on April 21, 2024 in Douala.
FAP had negotiated a good bid for themselves entering into the return leg that started on Friday April 19, 2024. They were getting into this phase as honorary champions of the away leg with three wins; thus putting themselves on a comfortable path towards the crown. They started the return leg campaign with a well-deserved win (54-46) against University of Douala Basketball Club. Boosting in confidence, the club went into their second match to clear off Overdose Up Station with a convincing 63-47 victory. The toughest challenge was kept for the end.
