MUNDI’ADES 2024 : Tournament Underway

The third edition of the competition opened in Mundi Sports Complex on Wednesday December 4, 2024.

The final phase of the third edition of the sports competition for taxation officials called Mundi’ades 2024 kicked off at the MUNDI Sports Complex in Ntoun village in the Bikok Subdivision of the Centre Region on Wednesday, November 4, 2024. The competition brings together the best teams and athletes from the ten regional branches of taxation to compete for medals in the annual sports jamboree. 
The first playing day was marked by finals in athletics, draughts, football and songo. In the women’s 1500m race, Belibi Thérèse was the winner while in the men’s 1,500m Wangla Remy from the Central Services for Taxation (DGI) was the winner. Wangla Remy said he was able to win because he is a former athlete. His dream is to win again next year. In the 200m, Manga Elvire and Raïs Aboubakari from the Littoral Region were the champions in both the women’s and men’s competition respectively. In the women’s 100m Manga Elvire from the Littoral Region was the fastest. She said her dream is to maintain her dominance in the next edition of the competition. Raïs Aboubakari said he won gold in the previous edition and that his ambition is to win gold again next year. In women’s football, the Centre Region beat the South West Region 1-0.
