A diner was offered the UBA Chairman, Tony Elumelu, special guest of the President of the Republic by the Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute on February 25, 2025.
A diner has been offered to the visiting Chief Executive Officer of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Tony Elumelu, in Cameroon for the first edition of the Cameroon Economic Forum. He is the special guest of the event, invited by the President of the Republic. The diner was offered in his honour by the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, on February 25, 2025. It was a moment of conviviality between some members of government, business persons and the UBA Chairman.
In a toast by the Prime Minister for more business partnerships between Cameroon and Nigeria, the Nigerian business tycoon is in Cameroon at the invitation of the President of the Republic and it is not by chance. The Head of Government notes that at a time when Africa is looking for progressive minds who can change the dynamics and stereotype about the continent, Tony Elumelu is amongst those breaking new grounds. The Head of Government appreciated the 5,000 USD non-refundable seeds which has been provided to close to 1,000 Cameroonians within the framework of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, which the Nigerian is the Founder. Recalling that he (the Prime Minister) met with Tony Elumelu at the just Ended African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, in the presence of former Nigerian Head of State, Obasanjo, the Statesman said he would encourage the industrialist to do more investments in Cameroon, and his presence at the economic forum in Yaounde confirms it.
