Cameroon- CEMAC Commission : Common Preoccupations Examined

This was during an audience between the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute and the President of the CEMAC Commission, Baltasar Engonga Edjo’o yesterday.

Collective problems that act as speed brakes to development within the Central Africa Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) Commission have been reviewed at the Star Building. This was during an audience the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute granted to the President of the CEMAC Commission Baltasar Engonga Edjo’o on March 5, 2025. He was accompanied by the Resident Representative of the CEMAC Commission in Cameroon, Pierre-Guillaume Boum Bissai. 
In his statement to the press, Baltasar Engonga Edjo’o notes that it is incumbent on the Commission to render accounts to authorities of member States who designated him. “Member States created this regional institution and we have the obligation and responsibility to report as well as update them on the evolution and preoccupations being faced by the institution. This is the main reason I came to see the Prime Minister Head of Government, to exchange on these preoccupations that the Commission faces,” he stated, adding that the preoccupations presented to the Prime Minister could not be unveiled to the press. Explaining further, Baltasar Engonga Edjo’o said the Commission and authorities of member States are working in collaboration to get common solutions for the wellbeing of the people.
