The tech event, to take place in Morocco from April 14-16, was recently officially announced by the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reforms.
Technology enthusiasts from several African countries, including Cameroon, are getting ready to converge on the Moroccan city of Marrakech next month to share thoughts and ideas on ways of advancing the continent’s digital transformation agenda. Scheduled to take place from April 14-16, the event which will be in its third edition, will bring together several stakeholders including government officials, industry pioneers, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss Africa’s digital future and opportunities to buoy up the continent’s digital economy using cutting-edge technologies, according to a press release officially announcing the event.
The event, organised this year in partnership with the Digital Development Agency (ADD) and Kaoun International, encompasses several events, namely specialised industry summits, exclusive creative industry activations, and high-impact networking forums, with a focus on Africa’s “digital public infrastructure, emerging AI ecosystems, and cutting-edge technological advancements.” According to the organisers, some key highlights and connected initiatives during the Marrakech event will include the Africa Future Connectivity Summit, an exclusive assembly for leaders in telecommunications, cloud computing, and data centers, and the Diaspora Studio, a dedicated hub designed to unite African innovators across the world.
In addition, the organisers say the event will also host “high-level government representatives, regulatory bodies, and technology industry leaders, driving pivotal conversations on AI governance, digital regulations, and the policies defining Africa’s innovation landscape.”
