Civil Aviation : Government Congratulated For Alignment Decisions

The Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Juan Carlos Salazar had exchanges with the Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute, yesterday March 4, 2025.

Different decisions adopted by the government of Cameroon to align itself with universal civil aviation norms have been appreciated by the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Juan Carlos Salazar. He made the remark during an audience with the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on March 4, 2025 where he congratulated the government for its alignment to elements that seek to enhance the development of civil aviation in Cameroon. Juan Carlos Salazar visits Cameroon for the International Civil Aviation Organisation-ICAO Facilitation Regional Forum hosted at the Yaounde Conference Centre on March 3-4, 2025 on the theme, “Seamless Skies: Efficient Facilitation for a Connected World.”
The Secretary General of the reputed organisation told reporters he spoke with the Prime Minister about the fast developing civil aviation sector that Cameroon has and the decisions that the government has made which align the country for fast growth. Some of the decisions highlighted by Juan Carlos Salazar include the liberation of the air transport system, the strengthening of the civil aviation authority and regulations, the preparation of talents of people that work in these systems and investment in training as well as the competences that Cameroon has to offer as a centre of activities of aviation in the sub region.
