CAF Makes Key Recommendations

After the first playing day, the African football governing body has given some proposals to improve on the organisation of the competition.

The sixth edition of the Total African Nations Championship entered the third playing day yesterday January 18, 2021. After the first and second playing days the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Local Organisisng Committee (LOC) have produced a debrief report. During the joint meeting of CAF and LOC, the members examined certain important aspects of the competition. At the end of the meeting it was recommended that journalists desiring to cover the second match must produce COVID-19 test results. On the field of play, the members pointed out that the pitch was in good condition but could not be watered before the start of the first match due to opening ceremony carpet being on the field.
Parking is not adequate for all four teams buses so there is the need to devise a system where the buses for the first match park in another area and move back into position after the team buses for the second match have dropped off the play...
