West: 100 IDP Trained In Income-generating Activities

He said helping to increase their knowledge and skills on small business experiences will improve their chances of gainfully starting their own businesses. Djoukou Albert was speaking in Dschang on January 17, 2022 while launching a 12-day practical workshop to train 100 Internally-displaced People, IDP women and girl-mothers on income- generating activities.

These include the making of liquid soap, menthol, smoked fish, sardine fish, cake baking, aesthetics, mushroom cultivation and decoration. He said the training will have a significant impact on the lives of the IDPs by helping them to generate income. Moreover, they will improve their living conditions, while 30 local girl mothers will be gainfully employed, increasing rural employment.
