Several Reconciliation Attempts

Administrative authorities, FECAFOOT and other actors have often stepped in to mediate the conflicting parties in the various legendary clubs although the crisis still persists.
The crisis plaguing some mythical clubs in the country is greatly having adverse effects on performance. For this reason, government authorities, the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and other actors have often attempted to reconcile the conflicting parties for the betterment of the legendary clubs and for the pride of their areas of command.
Given that these mythical clubs have often flown the flags of their respective regions high, administrative authorities have not been indifferent to the tense atmosphere in the football outfits. In May 2022, for example, the Governor of the West Region, Awa Fonka Augustine, held a crisis meeting with Racing FC of Bafoussam to reconcile disagreeing parties and save the club’s name. One of the major resolutions of that meeting was that a management committee be created to man the affairs of the club and save the West regional football powerhouse from drowning. The Governor of the Centre region, Naseri Paul Bea has equally been on his heels to see that the crisis in Tonnerre Kalara Club (TKC) of Yaounde comes to an end. In April 2022, for example, the Secretary General of the Centre Regional Governor’s Office, Simon Etsil, on behalf of the Governor, held a meeting with TKC to seek ways of finding lasting solutions to the problems plaguing the club. Recently, the Governor of the Littoral Region, Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua held a meeting with Dynamo of Douala to calm down tensions that has taken a different twist lately.
