Camwater : Study to Effect Company Recovery Underway

The purpose is also to enable the water utilities corporation to better fulfill its missions and give meaning to the vision prescribed by the Head of State.
The President of the Technical Commission for Rehabilitation in the Ministry of Finance, Martial Valéry Zang, has launched a study for the improvement of the financial and service output of the Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation (Camwater) in Douala. The session brought together representatives of the Ministry of Water and Energy, the Ministry of Finance and administrators from other sectors held at the Douala Hotel La Falaise in Bonapriso on October 28, 2022.
The diagnostic study will enable the water utilities corporation to better fulfill its missions and give meaning to the vision prescribed by the Head of State, which is to safeguard the company, effect its recovery and revival as a means of enabling the company to further benefit the public.
“Camwater is willing to openly welcome the mission charged with this exercise,” Blaise Moussa, General Manager of Camwater, said at the opening of a working session. He charged his collaborators to fully open up to the exercise by the independent firm selected by the Ministry of Finance as part of the implementation of the audit.
The Moore Stephens CA-Senort Group has been selected to carry out exercise. It has up to 90 days from October 28, 2022, to submit the report of its finding.
