2nd National Cycling Race : Kamzong, Feudjio Champions

The 2nd National Cycling Race organised by the Cameroon Cycling Federation took place on Sunday May 14, 2023 in Yaounde bringing together several athletes from across the country competing in the senior, junior and women categories. Clovis Kamzong Abossolo won in the senior category while Mariole Feudjio defended her title in the women’s category. 
Kick-off and arrival were at the headquarters of the Cameroon Cycling Federation in Yaounde and participants took-off with the ambition of bettering their performances. Several supporters thronged the streets to cheer the riders. Seeing the riders passing in pelotons marvelled the population. While others kept on shouting “Courage”, others clapped with so much energy and joy.
In the senior category, Clovis Kamzong just like in the first national cycling race defied all odds to win again. The athlete from SNH Velo Club paddled through the 4km circuit in 25 rounds to finish first (2h53’50’’). The athlete fresh from the Benin tour won the race thanks to his technicality and experience in the sports.  He is followed by his teammates Fotsing Arol, ranked 2nd and Artuce Tella (3rd).
