2023 Interpools : Spectators Stealing Show

Since the start of the tournament in Yaounde on July 15, 2023, fans have been massively answering present to galvanise their respective teams.
Among the things that the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) might look back and smile as concerns the organisation of the ongoing National Interpools, will be having spectators throng the stadiums. In effect, since the start the competition in Yaounde on July 15, 2023, fans have answered present with the objective of galvanising their various teams to victory. All calibre of fans including State personalities have been at the rendez-vous.
The positive signal was given during the opening match in Group A that pitted the representative of the East Region, Union Sportive of Abong-Mbang against the representative of the South West, Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe. Right from the entrance of the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium, there was a serious scramble for classic tickets which stood at FCFA 1,000. Inside the stadium was reflective of the scramble outside and this took a different twist when Volcan of Noun, the representative of West took on Academie Nyom II of the Centre Region in the second match of the day. One could have thought it was the final game of the MTN Elite One Championship but no, it was a tussle between two regional league sides. The seats were crowded. The fan club of Volcan of Noun stole the show as they sang and danced to see that their club gets the much wanted victory. This has made pundits to believe that the West Region is gifted when it comes to supporters looking at Bamboutos of Mbouda that has a river of devoted fans.
The ambiance has been top notch since then. Another case in point was on day 2 of the competition in Pool A on Monday July 17, 2023 at the Olembe Annex A Stadium. When it was time for the second match of the day pitting ISOHSA against Volcan of Noun, the security officers were overwhelmed by the number of fans who wanted to have access to stadium.
