AFBC Elite Championships : Cameroon Finalises Preparations

The AFBC Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships will kick off in Yaounde, Cameroon, as from July 27, 2023. Organised by the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC), the competition brings together athletes from across the continent. Ahead of tomorrow’s kick off, Cameroonian boxers are finalising preparations in their hideout in Yaounde. Since July 15, 2023, some 30 boxers have been polishing their skills at the CEFTA in Ekounou, Yaounde to avoid any errors. 
The head coach, Alain Didier Ngatcha said preparations are going without any major hitches. He said the boxers are working hard to be able to face the challenge ahead. Training takes place three times a day. Physical fitness exercises take place in the morning at 5:00 a.m. The other training sessions take place at the CEFTA gym. As at Sunday July 23, 2023, the list of athletes to, defend the coulours of the country in the competition was not known. He said Cameroon is building a new boxing team. He said for this competition, the country has many new boxers who are from countries like Spain, Dubai and France both in the men and women’s categories.
