Obsequies : Olé Olé Bertin Laid To Rest

The late former football was buried in his hometown Ngam, Foulassi, on Saturday February 24, 2024.

The former Indomitable Lions midfielder, Bertin Olé Olé who died recently was laid to rest in his native Ngam (Foulassi) in the Dja and Lobo Division of the Centre Region on Saturday February 24, 2024. Prior to the departure for Ngam, the coffining of the mortal remains of the late footballer took place at the Yaounde Central Hospital on Thursday, February 22, 2024 followed by a night vigil in Odza Yaounde. The body was taken to Sangmelima on Friday February 23, 2024 for another night vigil before finally being buried in Ngam (Foulassi) the following day.
Olé Olé Bertin was born in Sangmelima in 1957 where he did his primary and secondary education. In 1980 he obtained a diploma in sports and physical education at the National Institute of Youth and Sports. A versatile player, this midfielder who also played as a defender, had a successful career with Tonnerre Kalara Club of Yaounde in the 70s and 80s, during the glory days of the ‘Blancs de Mvog Ada’. He won several national trophies (cups and championships). Olé Olé Bertin lives behind a wife, children and grandchildren to mourn him. In the same vein, the late former international referee, Hioba Hioba Paul Alain, was buried in his home town Kéllé Ndongong in the Centre Region.
