Sports and Physical Education : Cameroonians In Australia To Support Sports Dev’t

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi granted audience to a delegation of Cameroonians living in Australia in his cabinet yesterday April 24, 2024. Speaking at the audience the Manager General of Cameroon KNECT, M. Carol Manga, who led the delegation, said the fact that the delegation from Australia has been received by Cameroonian authourities shows the willingness of government to assist the Cameroonian youths through sports. He said with the Cameroon KNECT, it is a question of bringing an additional support to Cameroonian athletes knowing that Australia is a great sports nation and that sports in Australia plays an essential role in the geopolitics and sports diplomacy. “We wanted to discuss these details with the Minister of Sports and Physical Education and also the construction of Sports Excellence Centre. “Giving a platform for athletes can improve their talents,” he said. 
Carol Manga said cooperation with Australia will give an opportunity for athletes to go to Australia to prepare for competitions having in mind that the next Olympic Games will be in 2032 in Brisbane.
