Boosting Investments : French Investors Awaited In Cameroon

President Paul Biya and former French Head of State, Nicolas Sarkozy, discussed modalities of the visit in Paris yesterday July 30, 2024.

A group of French investors will visit Cameroon in the weeks or months ahead to explore investment opportunities in the country with a view to maximising them through win-win ventures. President Paul Biya discussed modalities of the visit with former President of the French Republic, Nicolas Sarkozy, at the Four Seasons George V Hotel in downtown Paris yesterday July 30, 2024. This was during an over thirty-minute audience the Cameroonian Head of State granted Nicolas Sarkozy who had converted himself to a business lawyer. The former French President will lead the business delegation to Cameroon.
Although no press declaration was made after the in-camera discussions, it is obvious that President Paul Biya used his meeting with Mr Sarkozy to brief him on what Cameroon offers in terms of investment potentials as well as the business-friendly legal and administrative instruments in place. An opportunity also for Mr Biya to hear from Nicolas Sarkozy the expectations of the French investors he will be leading to Cameroon so as to seek ways of meeting them for mutually-beneficial deals.
