African Military Games : Preparations Hot Up

The President of OSMA, Nigeria’s Major General Maikano Abdullahi was at the headquarters of the institution in Yaounde yesterday, August 20, 2024.

The second African Military Games will take place in Abuja Nigeria from November 18 to 30, 2024. The information was made public yesterday, August 20, 2024 by the President of the Organisation of Military Sports in Africa, Nigeria’s Major General Maikano Abdullahi with Cameroonian military authorities in charge of sports during a press conference at the at the headquarters of OSMA in the Olezoa neighbourhood in Yaounde. Major General Maikano Abdullahi was accompanied by Air Vice Marshal A.T. Marquis, CISM/OSMA Chief Delegate Nigeria.
Speaking at the occasion, Major General Maikano Abudullahi said the purpose of the visit to Cameroon was to hand over a special invitation from the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff through the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the African Military Games, to Colonel Kalkaba Malboum to attend the opening and closing ceremony of the second African Military Games. He used the occasion to renew the gratitude of OSMA to Cameroon that accepted to host the headquarters of OSMA in Yaounde. The sealed envelope from the Chief of Defence Staff from Nigeria, General Christopher Musa to Colonel Kalkaba Malboum was opened by the Major General Maikano Abdullahi. While opening the envelope Major General Maikano Abdullahi described Colonel Hamad Kalkaba Malboum as a man whose steadfast loyalty has greatly contributed in bringing the African soldiers together.  He pushed Kenya to host the first African Military Games and Nigeria was to host the second Games but did not host due to some constrai...
